Outside, the reef drops away in a wall of buttresses and sandy gullies to a depth of about 20 m. The best diving here is done shallow, amongst the wall outside of the bays. Morays and octopus inhabit this area. At night the reef comes to life with fluorescent plancton, spanish dancers and squidds on the sand . The shape of the reef dictates that inside of the headland currents run towards the north. At Surface watching southern, the majesty view of the most big Volcano of Europe will appear to you, the mount “Etna”
