With courses ranging from Underwater Naturalist to Wreck Diving, a specialty course can open your eyes to aspects of diving you never dreamed existed. | Padi Enriched Air Specialty ( Nitrox ) |
Your
introduction to the heady world of technical diving, and a means of increasing
bottom time, an enriched air specialty qualification will permit you to rent nitrox
tanks anywhere in the world. It give you the theoretical knowledge necessary to
analyse your tanks and plan your enriched air dives. The course can be run over
one or two days. Please note, minimum age for Nitrox is 15. |
| Padi Wreck Diving Specialty |
For
dedicated wreck lovers this specialty include 4 dives including the famous wreck
of Roman Columns of Capo Taormina. Prerequisites: Be certified as a PADI Advanced
Open Water Diver or have an equivalent rating, Be 15 years of age or older. The
Wreck Dive conducted during the PADI Advanced Open Water program may be counted
toward this speciality at the discretion of the instructor conducting the Speciality
Course. During a Wreck Diver Course, the following is to be included: the planning,
organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of wreck diving the
preparation and use of lights, air supplies, special equipment, penetration lines
and reels limited-visibility diving techniques and emergency procedures. |
| Deep Diving Specialty |
Learn how
to plan and run deep dives safely. This course deals with everything you need
to know, from special equipment considerations to nitrogen narcosis. The deep
diving specialty is ideal preparation for wrecks or wall dive like the canyon
del Diablo. This is in fact a very useful speciality as any dive below 18 metres
is considered a deep dive. The depth of normal leisure dives often exceeds 18
metres, at least for a portion of the dive. |
| Night Diving Specialty |
An
introduction to underwater nightlife, the night diving specialty covers techniques
for communication and navigation in limited visibility, as well as the special
procedures necessary for planning and running night dives. A night dive specialty
will give you the opportunity to see the reef life in a different light. |
| Underwater Digital Photography |
An introduction to under water photography or expanding your knowledge about your
own camera equipment. Includes: Class room theory covering: camera equipment &
settings material, distance estimation, subject approach, picture composition,
camera care & maintainance. 2 dives with UW photography instructor, tanks & weights
and all necessary camera equipment.photo analysis. |
| Underwater Video |
Be
able to produce your own holiday video! You will film on land and under water
including: Class room theory covering: Types and functions of camera, housings
and light system, diving skills, filming techniques and editing. 2 dives with
videography instructor, tanks, weights and all video equipment needed. Film critiques
and transfer to DVD with music will complete your adventure. Certification on
request |
