Description:
At the south eastern extremity of the bay of Capo Taormina there is an ancient
Roman wreck known as "Wreck of the columns". More than two thousand years ago
it sunked one of the most big Roman Cargo Ship. The Vessel coming from some north
African province, transported Columns of white Marble to build a Temple on some
hill around Taormina. It is positioned close to deep water although immediately
around it is a plateau of sand and rocks outcrops at less than 20 m. Like the
Capo st. Andrea, the conditions here are highly influenced by both weather and
current. It is best to turn up first and check the visibility before making the
decision to dive. mooray eels are most commonly seen here in the months of june
to august. Many different species of nudibranch roam the sea floor and the shallow
water of the wall top. The best dive starts beside the wall in to the little bay
behind the extremity of Capo Taormina. . Now the divers can visit the rest of

Description:
One of the most known dive sites in Taormina, is located right on the Marine
Reserve. This is the only dive spot where you can dive all year round at any time
day or night Here you will encounter all the sea life you can imagine. All kind
of moray eels including schools of juvenile barracudas, octopusses, big Groupers,
stingrays and many more. It is important to know where to find these treasures.
The bay contains large areas of sand and posidonia sea grass. Here you will find
a kind of marine life you cannot see on the drop offs. Many different kind of
nudibranches, shrimpfish, seahorses, and stone fish. Night dives arranged on an
individual basis in the dive center are a complete new experience with the activity
of the nocturnal creatures in the Marine reserve. Particularity: Without any current
and a gently sloping sandy bottom, the bay is perfect for Discover Scuba Dives

Description:
The Wall is accessible only by boat and is located just near Blue Cave. This
site can only be dived in calm conditions. The captain will drop you near the
Entrance of Blue Cave, descend down to about 25 meters and swim out into the blue,
make sure you keep your eyes open as you may spot Moorey eels and schools of Barracuda
and if you are lucky some big Stingray! Drift gently along with the current. Circle
around the wall once or twice and marvel at the pristine conditions of the corals.
Here you can spot different kind of star fish, Octopus, groupers, barracudas and
many more. This site is special, and in amazing condition! Continue south to the
wall to finish of the dive gliding over one of the most beautiful wall in Taormina.
Make your safety stop and watch fish like the octopus and rainbow snapper swim

Description:
Lies along Capo st. Andrea the coral garden is the most seaward of the gardens
and is therefore, a more colourful reef and more frequently visited by pelagics.
The reef is a rocky slope dotted with coral outcrops down to a depth of 40 m where
it drops off to a steep wall. At the top of the slope is a series of pinnacles,
The best dive follows the drop off at around 25 m towards the headland, returning
via the natural pool caves and along the wall. The shape of the reef dictates
that current runs towards the south. Therefore, take care not to be swept away
from your boat at the moorings. The headland at Capo st. Andrea catches a lot
of current and makes a great drift dive in either direction. Dive only for experienced

Description:
Zio Gennaro Rock are situated at the southern most tip of the Taormina dive
area. Huge schools of black Anthias form along this area. As you drift along the
drop off keep an eye out into the blue. In certain conditions a down current may
form on the wall! A mountain may appear to rise from the depth. This site is best
as a drift dive from a boat.The formed where the steep wall, stretching from Zio
Gennaro rock meets the bay of Spisone. In spite of the nearby crowds, it remains
seldom visited and has retained an atmosphere of virgin beauty. Start your dive
on the outside wall and head northwards. At 30 m are huge overhangs, caves and
dark gullies, swathed in seafans, s. This scene becomes increasingly colourful
and dramatic towards the corner. At the corner it is worth doubling back to take
in the shallow part of this wall. Between 25 m and the surface is a large chimney
which should not be missed. It is home to a blue Shrimps. At the last corner the
platform at 5 meters will help divers for the safety stop. This is best left to

Description:
Atlantis Bay takes its name from the nearby Hotel first in the coast of Taormina.
Starts in a small rocky lagoon, slope descends away from the shore with the reef
wall starting on right side. Dive to the left where the reef table swings wide
into a steep wall dive with pinnacles and dramatic rock formations, always keep
one eye fixed on the blue as you will often see groupers and eagle rays swimming
around. The bay was an ancient greek harbor where usually the Greek war Ship ancored
for the night. The Atlantis bay is extremely sheltered and diving conditions are

Description: The canyon is one of the most popular dive sites in Taormina
and an essential dive for all fanatics of caves and cavern diving. The Canyon
is, itself quite a phenomenon. Up to 10 m deep and virtually closed over at the
top, it snakes its way up from the depths, to emerge in a large school of reef
fish and groupers. After an easy boat entry, you cross a sandy lagoon that opens
onto a gently sloping reef marked with Posidonias see weed. The amazing and eerie
canyon soon comes into view. It has three main openings. At about 20 m is the
fishbowl. Below that is another large bowl, opening at about 18 m. Deepest of
all is a narrow exit at 25 m. In between these openings the walls have grown together
to virtually close over the top of the canyon, forming a tunnel. From the top
it has the appearance of the fluted mouth of a clam shell. Descend into the Canyon
at 20 m and drop to the bottom which sits at around 25 m. Make sure you stick
to a depth well within your ability. Take a minute at bottom and enjoy the magnificent
view, the light coming through the crack that forms the entry of the canyon while
you sit in semi-darkness, it is an amazing sight. From here you exit through the
fish bowl. Finish the dive by swimming through a sensational schools of multituted
colorful fishes at about 8 m. Very good chances to find the resident octopus. | |||||||

Description:
Jump out of the boat and you are literally standing on top of the canyon.
This site focuses on a large, open-fronted overhang, or canyon under the reef
table right off the shore. The entry from a boat and into the deep blue. The canyon
can only be dived in calm conditions. Once in the water the canyon is directly
below you and on both the left and right side you will find a shallow reef. The
reef that circles the canyon is just as attractive as the canyon itself with both
site soft and hard corals being abundant. Here you will often spot large groupers,
scorpionfish and morays eel with a big octopus on a number of occasions. Enter
the cave and swim to the back then turn and watch the light shine through the
swarms of anthias and colorful encrusted sponge in both side the walls, swimming
upside down on the ceiling of the cave, a perfect spot for your safety stop! | |||||||

Description:
Lies about 1 km to the south of Mazzaro Bay and is an easy dive for divers
of all levels. The reef flat is cut away in a series of shallow bays at around
8 m. Outside, the reef drops away in a wall of buttresses and sandy gullies to
a depth of about 20 m. The best diving here is done shallow, amongst the wall
outside of the bays. Morays and octopus inhabit this area. At night the reef comes
to life with fluorescent plancton, spanish dancers and squidds on the sand . The
shape of the reef dictates that inside of the headland currents run towards the
north. At Surface watching southern, the majesty view of the most big Volcano
of Europe will appear to you, the mount "Etna" |

Description: One of the most latest discovery from Divesicily Divers is this Wonder of Mother Nature in the Coast line of Naxos Bay. Accessible from a small tunnel at the depth of 7 mt. (20ft) the cavern were a place where the mediterranean seals live many years ago, clear and calm water inside the cavern show you a smooth walls and some pinnacle in the left right wall. The boat will ancor nearby the cavern in a small Laguna without any possibility to meet currents or wind, small group of divers max 6 will visit the cavern, at the exit is possible to visit a second cavern beside the air cave, the underwater life of this place are many octopus, and a lot of moray eels, beautiful wall covered with colorful corals are the second cave, ascending directly to the boat after our reccomended safety stop. |

in the center of Naxos Bay in a clear sandy bottom, offer to the visitors a view
of pure ancient atmosphere. Here lies something like fifthysix columns and pieces
of white marble stone, as a part of ship load, it sank in the twentythird century
ago by an overload of the ship. The wreck never found due to the strong currents
of Sicilian channel that run this place , Entry by boat descend over the gradual
sandy slope and divers will find that they are surrounded instantaneously by huge
bank of sand. all kind of starfish, anemone fish, anthias, and many more live
in this place. For the micro divers in us nudibranches are often seen here including
the spanish dancer and the giant orange pigatchu, Particularity: This site is
perfect for photography being beautiful at all depths with a surprising wealth
