Emergency First Response Course
A medic first aid certification is a prerequisite for anyone wishing to take a Rescue Diver Course, and we therefore offer a PADI Emergency First Response Course, which takes one day and will teach you how to give Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (heart massage and mouth-to-mouth), as well as basic first aid techniques.

Rescue Diver and Emergency First Response Course
A PADI Rescue Diver Course will test your ability to solve problems under pressure and give you the tools to spot and deal with difficult situations before they develop into full-blown crises. With its emphasis on prevention, self-rescue, and the importance of managing situations effectively, the Rescue Diver Course will equip you to deal with a wide range of typical problems, making you a better buddy, and increasing your confidence as a diver.

Rescue Diver Course
Your first day will consist of pool and class work, equipping you with basic skills such as assisting a panicking diver, surfacing an unconscious diver, and out of air drills. In the classroom you will learn how to quickly identify stress in divers and how to minimise the risks associated with differing diving conditions. The second and third days are spent on the boat simulating emergencies, conducting searches, and learning how best to manage the human resources available, as well as learning how to administer oxygen, and in-water artificial ventilation techniques. Be prepared for unexpected rescue scenarios!

Divemaster Course
The PADI Divemaster Course offers you the opportunity to achieve a professional rating, whether your are interested in career development, or just want to improve your diving knowledge and skills. Choose between a two or four-week course in the Mediterranean Sea. The shorter course covers the basic exercises and theory required for certification but we strongly recommend the four-week internship if you are interested in working as a divemaster. Read about Divesicily's Work Experience program which is available for Divemasters and Instructors wishing to gain experience and find work.
Two Weeks Option
If you elect to take the two-week option you should bear in mind that although the prerequisite for starting a course is only 20 dives, we will not be able to certify you as a divemaster until you have logged 60. We therefore recommend that you should have logged around 45 dives prior to your arrival, and that you have completed the required reading: workbook, manual and encyclopaedia.
Four Weeks Option
The four-week course is known as an internship and is specifically designed to prepare you for the realities of life as a working divemaster. Like the two week course you will cover the required skills and theory, but your instructor will also be able to teach you something of the "art" of guiding. Under his or her supervision your briefing, planning, and guiding skills will reach the levels necessary for finding work.
